Description
A packraft designed for fishing and exploration
The NRS Riffle is not a typical inflatable kayak. It is a packraft, a compact watercraft designed to be easily transported to less accessible bodies of water and then inflated on-site.
The Riffle takes this concept further with a setup tailored for fishing. It offers more capacity, storage, and durability than a minimalist packraft, while remaining much easier to transport than a traditional kayak.
It is the type of craft you choose when you want to reach an isolated lake, carry your fishing gear, or combine hiking, exploration, and paddling into one trip.
A configuration adapted for fishing
NRS has integrated several practical details to facilitate equipment transport.
Openings located near the floor allow you to slide pre-rigged rods behind the backrest, while multiple tie-down points on the tubes allow you to secure broken-down rods, transport tubes, or other accessories.
The backrest can also be folded down to provide a higher seating position in calm conditions, which can be particularly useful for fishing.
Storage directly inside the tubes
The Riffle features a waterproof TIZIP SuperSeal zipper that provides access to the interior of the tubes.
You can store some of your gear directly within the packraft's structure. This frees up space around the paddler and improves weight distribution when carrying a lot of gear.
The large opening also makes it easier to deflate and pack the craft after your trip.
Construction built for demanding use
The Riffle uses significantly more robust materials than ultralight models.
The tubes are made of 420D nylon with double-sided TPU coating, while the floor uses 840D nylon, designed to better withstand abrasion and repeated contact with rocks, boots, and gear.
Additional reinforcements are also present in the most exposed areas.
Self-bailing floor
The Riffle has a self-bailing floor.
When water enters the craft, it drains naturally through the designated openings rather than accumulating in the bottom.
This design makes it more versatile when paddling in less calm conditions or when frequently getting in and out of the craft.
